Istituto Nazionale di Oceanografia e di Geofisica Sperimentale - OGS is the Lead Partner the of ECCSEL NatLab-Italy project. OGS is also the Italian National Node in ECCSEL.

OGS is an internationally oriented public research institution. Its basic and applied research priorities are Oceanography (under the Physical, Chemical and Biological aspects), Geophysics and Marine Geology, Experimental and Explorative Geophysics, Seismology and Seismic Hazard.

CERI Research Centre "Previsione, prevenzione e controllo dei rischi geologici" collaborates with OGS at the project.

CERI is an interdepartmental centre that promotes, coordinates and performs research activities in the field of geological risks, environmental monitoring, developing and experimenting innovative methodologies.







Ministero dell'Istruzione, dell'Università e della Ricerca - MIUR is the funding body of ECCSEL NatLab-Italy project.

MIUR is the reference body for all the public Research Institutes and Universities. The "Dipartimento per la formazione superiore e per la ricerca" coordinates and manages many areas, among which the national and international research programming and coordination, including the National Research Programme (PNR); special attention is given to the coordination and monitoring of the European research objectives.





ECCSEL (European Carbon Dioxide Capture and Storage Laboratory Infrastructure) is the platform through which ECCSEL NatLab-Italy laboratories are made available to the international scientific community.

ECCSSEL is is a pan-european infrastructure that links the best European facilities on CCS (CO2 Capture and Storage) and promotes the building of new ones, to improve the knowledge and skills on this important topic.
